The Kingpins under their fashion label name, Birthday Suit, has released their latest collection titled "Material Brow". It is a mix between Frida and Madonna, as you can probably tell for yourself. Love it or hate it? I love it.

Currently, I have been channeling clothes that represent sunny picnics in fields and also picnics that could occur besides candles in the middle of the night. Here is a dress that is almost done and will be at atelier soon.

Recently, I picked up a pair of the Raf Simons for Fred Perry cobalt blue shorts, and I am so in love with them!

burning like an angel,

I have come to the conclusion that my dog is unbelievably adorable. It took me way too long to decide that. But he is.

Well, Coachella was over yesterday, I am currently stuck in my hotel room while my car is being worked on at the volvo dealer. This past wknd was one of the best of the year. Why? Because I was with people that I like. Honestly, the friends I consider friends do not exist in my home town anymore. They have scattered and are scattered.
The fashions at Coachella always baffle me too. There are always the most amazing outfits and also the most dreadful ones (in my eyes that is). But one of my top favorite outfits was Lykke Li's

Photo from pocket photography. She wore black high wasit shorts with a sheer top and under neither that a black thank top and then along with that she wore a ruffled fabric scarf! It was all to die for. To top it all off, she wore a very clunky silver chain necklace and on the bottom black heels and thigh high stockings that were rolled down to her knees.
My second favorite was Lizzi Bougatsos of Gang Gang Dance. She had layers upon layers of black fabric that came trialing off of her that came off as easy as a cape! It was magnificent, it reminded me of an altered version of Complex Geometries F/W 09. With that she wore a vintage t-shirt, black skinnies and black leather round topped booties.
The entire weekend was a very fun time! I cannot wait until next year.

Leslie Feist released a new film for her single "The Water" Directed by Kevin Drew and also stars Cillian Murphy. More of a short film I suppose.

Along with that, Wildfox Couture also released shots of its Autumn 2009 lookbook, and let me just say they are fabulous! The theme of theme, the shots, everything about that I am in love! I love how the red lipstick just stands out in all of the shots. The shots are very voyeuristic yet youthful. Here are a few shots from it:

In a week span, the time has ended.

It seems that on every little adventure I take for myself I end up buying things that I do not need in the long run. It never ceases to amaze me how much self-control I end up not having. The weather his past week surely does not help with my purchasing. When the weather is nice outside I just want to go out and SPLURGE on material items, I don't know why. I am very lucky to have experienced amazing weather in Portland, Oregon and also in Seattle, Washington. I went into this thinking I was going to be layering upon layering in this rainy part of the United States. But, to my surprise, I was greeted by 70 degree sunny weather in both cities. It's truly wonderful being able to miss all of their gloomy weather.

Currently: Stumptown in Seattle, Washington.
I have a train to catch in 3 hours and am willing to walk there, because its such a gorgeous day outside to me. To the rest of the population here, it is a gloomy day. I was lurking around on the internet and decided to pay a stop on by The Sartorialist and to my surprise was the "california girl" post, featuring none other than a fabulous floral print turban.

Her outfit, just everything about it is amazing and amazes me. Usually outfits never ever make my jaw drop but, if you have the courage to go out in todays world in a turban, then I love you for that.
